30A Final Reflection
1. Starting off this class, I would have never guessed how much I would learn about all the puzzle pieces that come together that an entrepreneur must put together to see his dream come true. My most exciting moments during this class were creating the elevator pitches as my girlfriend video taped in the background trying her best not to laugh. The moments I dreaded the most were the lengthy interviews I had to conduct with people I didn't know and then having to type them out word for word. I also hated the times I forgot to submit an URL and didn't receive credit for an assignment. All these added up to a valuable learning experience that I will never forget.
2.The experience that stands out to me the most was first elevator pitch and learning how hard speaking in front of a camera actually was. It took me an entire afternoon and several re-takes to finally get it right. Now, I am happy to say it has become second nature to me.
3. I do believe I have developed and entrepreneurial mindset from pursing this class. When I go about my life, I cannot help but to pinpoint problems I see and how I could create something that would be better.
4. Time manage, time manage, time manage. It is very easy to miss an assignment in this class. Have alerts when each assignment is due and take the proper time to do them. Quality always matters more!

ReplyDeleteI had very similar experiences with the videos and interviews that you describe. Both were a little anxiety provoking for me at first but they were also exciting and it felt good to make progress on my idea. I think another big thing I've taken from this class is not being afraid to connect with consumers and other business people to get advice and feedback.
