Elite Express - Getting you to your destination faster.
I came about this idea due to the countless amount of times my days have been interrupted or my plans have been ruined due to the burden of traffic jams. Including missed flights, late to meetings, and cut social time with friends and family. I feel as if we are currently complacent with our current road system and have yet to strive for innovation since the first highways were built. The direct result from doing this I believe would be an increase in car sales and a direct satisfaction increase with overall driver experience on our major road ways. My Idea is structured around the concept of developing a road way that runs parallel with the major highway systems. There will be 4 lanes to cater towards drivers going in both directions and multiple entry and exit points through-out the road way system. At each entry, a booth will be in place so individuals can pay their access fee up front. From there, the gate will open and allow them to access the roadway until their desired exit. The fee will be expensive enough to prevent congestion when a traffic jam is occurring but not to where it will cost them an arm and a leg. The best way I can explain my vision is by using the fast past at a theme park as an example to what the product is replicated after. To prevent individuals from enter the roadway without paying, a median that is five feet tall will extend across the roadways borders and will have multiple surveillance cameras active to catch any cars breaking the median for free access. Being that we are creating a roadway system, this type of project would take an astronomical amount of capital to complete, thus why I would attempt to seek a partnership with the state of Florida's government for funding. By doing this, I would donate 25% of all revenues back into the state to fund the public sector for community services.
My Main target market for my product would mostly be young professionals commuting into the city from the outside neighborhoods and also families traveling to destinations that either requires them to catch a flight or be in a certain location by a fixed time.
I would need to hire a team of civil engineers, contractors, designers, lawyers, and financial advisers to develop my idea and all come together to bring it to life.
Day to day operations would entail several entry level workers holding down the booths to collect revenue from the cars entering. Inside a building located near the roadway would house workers watching the security cameras for any suspicious footage. The corporate office will oversee all operations and a regional manger will be on site to assist with any issues that might arise during the days and nights.
Our only real threat to business would be the instance of a traffic jam being created on our roadway system due to a collision or situation that prevents all lanes being open. How to mitigate this problem is still up to discussion.
